Tom Clancy fans, rejoice
The latest Humble Bundle collection is full of Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon goodness
If you are unfamiliar with The Humble Bundle, it’s a bundle of games which can be purchased from a website of the same name—the sales proceeds are divided between the developers directly and charity. The best part? You can pay what you want. They often have some really good deals, and the latest bundle is no exception. For $1 or more, you can get your hands on a pretty cool collection of titles from the house of Tom Clancy. Starting off the collection are a bunch of classic (if dated) Rainbow Six games and their expansions, Rainbow Six Vegas, the series’ transformation into a competent third/first-person shooter, arguably the best Splinter Cell game in Chaos Theory and guaranteed access to the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege beta.
Pay a little more (at present the average price is around $9), and you’ll get Splinter Cell Conviction, the sequel to Rainbow Six Vegas (aptly titled Rainbow Six Vegas 2), Splinter Cell Double Agent and EndWar (a weak strategy title, but the voice command system still holds gimmick value). Cross the $10 mark and get Splinter Cell Blacklist + Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, while paying $75 will get you Rainbow Six Siege, a T-Shirt and a discount coupon.
Some good deals up for grabs here if you’re into shooter that are less twitch and more tactical. Games like a few in the bundle simply don’t get made anymore, and you should probably check them out for nostalgia’s sake if nothing else.
